Throttle cable. OEM or aftermarket?
« on: July 13, 2024, 12:55:10 PM »
I’m thinking of replacing my throttle cable, it’s at least a decade old and probably older and I wondering if I should shell out the $57 at the dealer or buy aftermarket.

If aftermarket, which brand?

Is the old one giving you problems?  I had the original on my K75s for 37 years and was still fine when I sold it. Never lubed it or anything.  Did have to pull the grip off the throttle side a couple times and clean all the gunk off the bar when the throttle got sticky.

What he said. Unless it's damaged there's no need to replace it.
Once I had a Collie pup. Dug a hole and covered him up. Now I sit there by the hour. Waiting for a Collie-flower.
