K Bikes in Pop Culture
« on: September 11, 2023, 12:47:04 PM »
I recently streamed Dan Aykroyd and Tom Hanks' 1987 film adaptation of Dragnet to have some background noise while I worked on the bike and noticed a familiar 'whine' about halfway through the movie. Tom Hanks' rolls up to have dinner with Dan Aykroyd's character and his mother on what looks like a K100RS, and later takes the matriarch for a joy ride allowing Aykroyd's character to have some alone time with his love interest.

It got me wondering what other films, tv shows, viral videos, etc feature K bikes that other members may have come across. Do you have any other examples of our bike showing up in pop culture?

MCGUYVER

Once I had a Collie pup. Dug a hole and covered him up. Now I sit there by the hour. Waiting for a Collie-flower.

Movie: Blue Murder. Lanfranchi gets pulled over by a cop, he points his gun at the cop, who then rides off. This is a pretty central part of the movie because Rogerson uses it as an excuse to convince Lanfranchi that he needs to agree to a meeting with him.
