I can’t find my DeOxit D5, but I can find my DeOxit F5 which is for faders.   It has less solution than d5 and more lubricant.  would that be fine for the under the tank plug?

F5 is designed for electrically conductive plastic, so F5 would not seem fine to me as a cleaner and protector of metal surfaces. Let us know how well it works.
