K75 Police Bike Differences & Passenger Seat
« on: June 21, 2023, 09:10:45 AM »
Does anyone have any experience with k75 police bikes? They they sometimes have to storage that replaces the passenger seat. Can this storage be removed and a regular seat installed?

Is the subframe different?

Any other differences between the police versions and the regular k75 models?

It can be removed and replaced with an '86 or later tail cowl. The side panel battery covers need to be replaced because the replacement tail cowl needs battery covers that have a pin on the end to couple them with the cowl and stabilize them. Here's the outcome of one rider's experience. The replacement dual seat will require hinge parts.

There are differences in the wiring harness and electronic control units to accommodate sirens, lights, radio and suppression of electronic interference but likely none of that will need alteration so you can risk your life riding it to the grocery store.  :laughing4-giggles:

Thanks, seems like a full seat will still mount w/o any changes.

Some examples in this forum.

Mount a dual seat with the radio box still on the back? I'm looking forward to seeing that. Post some photos of your Brick so we can see what you've got.
