Anybody have a good source for stocking up on oil filters?  I also need the gasket for the plate that covers the oil filter.

I get my oil filters at Carquest or NAPA in my town.  O-rings can be had at a local bearing shop or eBay.

I don't have the numbers handy, but they are easy to find.  I am lazier than you.

Oil filter: Bosch 72161

Amazon, Rock Auto, Ebay or any other website.

The O-ring is 88x3.

Once I had a Collie pup. Dug a hole and covered him up. Now I sit there by the hour. Waiting for a Collie-flower.

I like the AC Delco PF-53.  Peel off any stickers though.

Is that because the entire filter is inside the oil sump and the stickers will detach themselves and get stuck in the oil pump or some little channels?

Yep, I had one come off but it just settled to the bottom on the cover plate.  Fram made a couple filters that fit  but they started putting that grippy stuff on that dissolved in the sump.
