Hey all!
Just picked myself up a '94 K1100LT with 59xxx on the ODO.
I got it from a guy out on the coast for 2k.
I was able to ride it 264 miles home and all I had to do was put gas in it with my hands being nice and toasty and my windscreen adjusted to perfection
She's missing some fairing parts and a few odds n ends but it sure feels like a happy bike.
I rode it to work next day and saw that my boot was torn on the rear-most runner coming out of the airbox.
So.. now she's in the shop in pieces.
Already have the injectors getting refurbished, new throttle body-manifold boots ordered, manifold o-rings ordered, gonna pick up some new fuel line and clamps today.
During disassembly, I tried to spin the fan blades. Feels like I got a siezed fan motor and the blades are just turning on the shaft. Gonna get a SPAL 6.5" as I've seen others do.
I also got some signs of age on the "throttle body vacuum distribution tube" part# 11151461834
Looks like the best price I can find is $150 for it.
Gonna get creative with shoe goo and some old bike inner-tube/heat shrink and see how it goes. Same on the air box runner.
She's missing some fairing parts, a temp guage, and fun enough the battery/ecu mounting bracket as well (gonna fab up something simple to hold them both). ABS is also acting up.. oh well
All in all I could've gotten one more complete than this but I'm happy with it and I'm looking forward to giving it a new lease on life.
Also got my Carbtune pro 4 on the way. Since I'm sure my TB's are gonna be just a hair off once I'm all done.

Bonuses are the Ohlins rear shock and BMW factory lower seat (thanks frankenduck for the info!). I'm 5'10 and as this is my first bike over 400lbs, I appreciate the lower height.
