85 K100 RS TURBO

Try this again with pictures.
I am selling my 85 K100RS with a Luftmeister Turbo kit with later intercooler.
It is a bit of a Franken Bike. I was not planning to sell it until a great deal on an R1200RT showed up and I couldn't help myself.
How many bikes is too much? Apparently 9. Last fall I was packed to hit the road and made it 20 miles then had a bad misfire.
After diagnostics, I proceeded to over fix the problem. (As long as it's apart...)
2 new Coil packs , wow are they proud of those. 4 new upgraded injectors and new wires and plugs.
Redid the turbo drain line (not 100% happy with it) New header copper washers. Runs great now.
New expensive orange battery last year. Did I mention I planned to keep it?
Rear shock is progressive. Front forks etc are Hurricane 100 from 92? Front wheel is F3? 17"
Rear wheel is 01 R1100S? Wide and 17" Slight warp in a front rotor.
Corbin seat, Super bike style bars with bar risers. Laminar Lip Added heated grips.
This bike isn't perfect, but it hasn't let me down in 12+ years until last fall.
I have boxes of spares including an engine and transmission. Stock forks and front wheel .
I saw someone shipped one of these from Hawaii to Georgia a few years back.
Must be a unicorn. I'd like to see $3000 for the lot minus the alum rear bags.

I have one of these I知 putting back together now. Does this one have the secondary injection system and is it the later stainless exhaust manifold version?

Ya know, It may be stainless. Were the early ones painted? The muffler is not stainless. Header pipe maybe.

Thanks, the early ones where painted or ceramic coated along with the exhaust. It appears you may have the later kit with split cooler and chrome exhaust/lufty can muffler. Do you have any better pictures of the turbo up close and what痴 behind the fuel rails/airbox? This is what mine looks like, it has a very early kit and I have upgraded to my own secondary injection system with a custom manifold and k1100 manifolds. I知 almost done with the repaint and looking forward to a dyno session.

That side of the bike is tight against a garage wall and it is neg many degrees out. I'll have to move it to get good pics of turbo etc. I'd probably fall on my head going from garage to shop now. Maybe this weekend before ice racing?

Thanks and if it is convenient, I知 trying to confirm how they handled fueling on these bikes. I知 pretty sure they used a rising rate fuel pressure regulator on top of the factory system for low boost applications. It値l be an odd machined disc with a vacuum line and two fuel lines in it. One should come from the factory return into the unit the second out to the tank return line.

I now have the responsibility of caring for the Turbo Frankenbeast. It is going to Iowa for many more miles, many more smiles and I am sure some WTF! moments. Only real men buy motorcycles when it is -22F outside, faaack!  just gotta break the news to wifey :beatinghoe
