New member saying Hi.
« on: January 15, 2021, 06:50:03 PM »
Hi thank uou for acepting my request to join the forum.  I bought my first K , a K100RS back in 1984 when they first came out, had it for over 15 years. Moved on to a K1200 RS for 6 or7 years.  Have now got a R100RS which I love and treated myself to a bright Red and Yellow K1.
I enjoy making bits for my bike, I have a lathe and a small untidy workshop in my garage.  The K1 has a rough running problem at the moment but hope to sort that soon, maybe with help of this forum. Live just east of London.

Now that's a rare beast Dave. Please do post a picture of her.

Welcome and hope you will sort out the rough running in no time! The people and resources here are amazing.

Just looked at how to post pictures , seemed a bit protracted so I'll leave it until I get time to re read the instructions and sort it out.  Am I right in saying you have to upload your downsized pictures into the gallery first then use their address to enter into the posting??  Used to just posting direct into the thread

Although I claim to be technologically adept, that's what I do and have about 50/50 success!  Select photos on computer while in "my gallery" and upload, sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. Not sure why. There is a photo posting guidance someplace on this forum.

I think I'm becoming older and more distractable or impatient.

Photo guidance is among the entries below the line under the site's banner.

You seem to understand how the Gallery works despite being techologically adept. Post photos into the gallery one at a time. It will work dependably that way.

The technical term for a red and yellow K1 is "ketchup and mustard"   :laughing1: I had the privilege of possessing one for a week or so when my K was in the shop, loved it, but that was 30 years ago and pretty sure my knees would complain even more now.
