K1100LT Seat Hardware. Need a PIC
« on: October 15, 2020, 05:28:11 PM »
Can someone take a few pics of the underneath of their K1100LT seat please. The project I am working on came without a seat and I think a bracket or two may be missing on the seat i purchased or on the frame used to secure the seat. Yes, i still own the white one in my avatar but it is thousands of miles away at the moment. (sigh)

 :useless

Cheers!

This. Slight variances depending on the seat that you are running.

Thanks nw074.

The large black bracket, top center in the pic looks like it has a hole for a shaft, or hinge pin? I do have that bracket but wondered what goes in that hole?

One end of that bracket slips on the hinge pin that is welded to the frame rail, the other end of that bracket attaches to the gold looking hinge part.

I am missing the smaller black bracket, at least looking at my seat pan and frame I don't see it.

Here are pics of the two black brackets. It is a little hard to see. Never mind that it is a Russell. It is the same.

Thanks Guys! !
I have a better idea of how this goes together now. I am missing that smaller bracket but I am sure Beemerboneyard has some.
