WTB: ‘93 K1100RS Windscreen
« on: October 11, 2020, 11:10:40 AM »

Looking for a good windscreen to fit the original ‘93 K1100RS fairing. The last attempt purchased was bogus item, no way to make it fit. Anyone got one that is decent for sale?

It’s been a long delayed project, and likely way more $$ than could ever be justified... getting a K1100RS back together.
I had bought a Windscreen” some time back, and discovered it was CRAP, no way to make it actually fit the fairing upright posts. Is there any out there that will fit the original fairing?  This must be one reason folks make “Cafe” bikes......

Aeroflow and Parabellum make windscreens that fit over the frame rather than within it. Who made the disappointing windscreen?

Black screens seem to be available at Max but clear screens aren't listed.

Here's a Secdem windscreen on a K1100RS.

Was the bogus screen an original BMW part?

What was the problem getting it to fit?

Did you try to install it with the fairing on the bike?

MT Gryphon....  No it was sourced though a 3rd party, always a mistake I know...... even better now! I just posted a What’s-Zit-Fit on the other board. It’s huge, has no mounting tabs, maybe not even for a BMW ??   :idunno:
