SOLD: Well cared for 91 K75 standard, Albuquerque NM. $2500

It's the end of an era: sold my K75. The guy who bought it will be signing up for the forum soon, the bike has certainly found a good home.

Selling my 1991 BMW K75. I adopted my uncle’s Moto Guzzi last year, and with residency, I don't ride enough to have 2 bikes.
Overall, the bike is in good shape. Mechanically it’s a 9/10. Cosmetically a 7/10. It has some specific important upgrades. I’ve had it since fall 2009 and have ridden it over 30,000 miles, including a 100 mile/day commute on the nice days of one year, and moving it from Michigan to NM this summer. It will be a solid, dependable bike for a long time, and I hope it will be as great a bike for its next owner as it has been for me.Glad to do test rides with cash in hand. I'm posting at a lower price on the forum than CL.Key details:~116k miles. Includes locking type 1 tragkorbs in good condition, top-box with lock, tank bag, national cycle windshield, corbin seat (rough, but comfortable), works performance shock. Clean NM title in hand.I did a major overhaul at 100k in the summer of 2013. This included:- Replaced engine with low mileage (~30k) 1994 core, Disassembled, cleaned, and inspected all components, replaced all gaskets/seals
- New alternator driveline bearings- Disassembled, inspect, and reseal transmission- New clutch assembly. Input shaft on transmission is hardened and in good condition.Other major work done while I've owned it.- Bruno’s machine shop driveshaft and rebuilt Final Drive (see upgrades)- Replaced Front and rear brake rotors. Front are at new spec, rear are close to new. Rear caliper rebuilt in the last year.- Replaced wiring harness due to short-circuit from abrasion/flex. Added high amp fuses for main bus.- Newer rebuilt/matched fuel injectors, fuel pump damper- New Steering head bearings, Swingarm bearings, wheel bearings, fork sealsModifications/Upgrades:- Works performance rear shock with adjustable triple rate spring/remote reservoir. Rebuilt at ~102k miles in 2014.- Stainless steel Braided brake lines F+R- Bruno’s Machine shop Rebuilt Driveshaft and final drive unit at ~85k miles. New FD bearing and U joint installed. Spline cup is hardened, elongated, and contains a grease reservoir. The FD splines are elongated and hardened as well. The splines are also cut deeper to have more engagement. This shaft and FD should last indefinitely if maintained.- 700W alternator. New bearings when installed. Will run high watt headlight, aux lights, heated vest, and more.- Headlight relays, 130W headlight- Mounts for fog/driving lights. Switch installed in dash for this.- Corbin Seat: Rough but comfortable, some cracking of leather at front of seat.- Heated GripsCurrent issues:- Gear position Switch is sometimes flaky. Currently seems to work. I tried to restore it/seal it last time I had the swingarm off a few years back, which helped a bit. If you want the GPI to be reliable, you’ll need to replace it, perhaps next time it’s due for a full spline lube.- A couple paint chips/cracks. Nothing major- Small (barely visible) dent in the left side of the tank from a bike’s handlebar.- Rear tire could use replacement soonish; If you purchase a replacement, I can install it for you. If you are doing a fly and ride, I'll replace it for you ahead of time.
Included spare parts, etc:Oil filter socket
Molybdenum grease for splines5 lock cylinders for type 3 tragkorb latches (if you want to upgrade)Many spare valve shims.Spare PCV Z-HoseBag of boltsSpare water pump sealsSeveral Oil filter cover o-rings, misc crush washersBrush rings for alternatorSpare front brake padsStock Seat for DIY comfort seatSome extra Seat HardwareProbably will have some other stuff I’m forgetting

If you do a fly and ride, I'll pack up all the extra stuff, and we can send it greyhound freight.
