Front tire change
« on: June 17, 2020, 02:40:03 AM »
So I’m changing the tire of my new to me 88 K75s. I marked the left and right side before taking the wheel off. Took the rotors (changing them as well) and tire off and cleaned everything up. Noticed an R on the wheel close to the wheel bearing as well as an R stamped towards the rim as well. These marks are on the same side but they are both on the ‘Marked left’ side. Was it put on backwards then?

The circled R is a German symbol for Registered Design. It's like a copyright or trademark symbol. We've got the same here.

snowflake front wheels can be mounted either way.  I once mounted a directional tire the wrong direction and simply flipped the wheel around.

I flipped the front wheel on my K75 and rode around two days before I figured out why the ABS wasn't happy.

Haha. Well at least I don’t have ABS to worry about. Putting new rotors on with the tire so I’ll make sure those are directioned correctly

One of my rotors is directionally challenged.  Have not notice a difference :laughing1: :laughing1:

That just means you ordered two lefts or two right rotors. You may notice a difference if you were tracking the bike maybe?? Still would bother me enough to change it though lol
