Those old tires hold up just fine until you've warmed them up and take that 30 mph turn at 65.  :johnny

That's one myth I do not want to be the one to attempt to debunk!!

But it's a lovely looking bike. Even though I am partial to my full fairing, heated grips, functioning fuel gauge and ABS (which that one appears not to have)

BTW Volador -- I'm blocked from crossing the border to MN so have not yet seen the spliines :(  Maybe I can sneak across on my Enduro - the river is still ice covered in places.

The Carrera GT Paul Walker died in had old tires on it, contributing to his fatal accident.  I once bought a used but good Michelin for my TR Spitfire to use as a spare.  After mounting I inflated it to 32psi and watched a bubble in the sidewall expand to grapefruit size then blow up like a hand grenade.  Old tires are great for trailer and garage queens, not so much for daily riders.
