Am i wrong or i should have this valve housing?
As understand only a valve and 2 o-rings should be the only difference between left and right damper.
One of the challenges of understanding BMW's instructions is their occasional inaccuracy or inconsistency in translation from German to English. Another challenge is that in the line drawing diagram you have attached, the right-side tube is on the left side of the diagram and the left-side tube is on the right side of the diagram. That's a typical format but sometimes understanding can be elusive after sleep and coffee deprivation.
In the BMW manual's halftone photos—which you have attached—one part in each tube is labeled a
valve housing; however, in the same manual's line drawing diagram of the tube assembly—which you also have attached—one of the
valve housings is labeled a
bushing. When I consult MAX BMW's parts fiche, the part in the right tube is labeled a
bushing and the part in the left tube is labeled a
housing. They might look exactly the same, or not; internal differences can't be determined by looking at the diagrams. In MAX's fiche, their part numbers are different but their prices are the same. As I consider reassembly,
both the tubes should have either what is labeled in the fiche as a valve housing or a bushing. That will depend upon whether the tube is left-side or right-side.
When I compare the tubes in the line diagram, the left tube has 13–a sealing ring, 14–a coil spring, and 15–a valve; the right tube does not. The coil spring is not in your list of differences. The right tube has 9–the
bushing.
If this were my project, I'd reassemble using the names found in both the line diagram and the fiche because they are the same. I'd assemble parts according to BMW's diagram. I'd insert the bottom spacers with their narrow sides downward in
both tubes.
Perhaps mlytle might illuminate this further because he has rejuvenated that style of fork during work on his K75S Bricks.
