For Sale: 1995 K75RT, $2,500 in PA
« on: March 01, 2020, 11:05:16 AM »
1995 BMW K75RT ABS, 78,6xx miles. Metallic graphite paint, great condition, never down, no dings/dents on tank or body work, just the expected small stone chip here and there.

Selling for $2,500, located in Hanover, PA.

Electrically adjustable windshield (two windshields included), ABS brakes, OEM heated grips, OEM Comfort seat, OEM side cases keyed to ignition, OEM expandable tank bag, complete/original/comprehensive OEM toolkit, owners manual, YSS rear shock, fender extenders front and rear, Hella auxiliary driving lights, Aeroflow headlight protector/cover, Clymer and Haynes shop manuals.

Major service just performed within last 50 miles, with parts receipts:

- New Avon Roadrider tires front and rear
- New engine oil and filter
- New transmission oil
- New final drive oil
- New brake fluid front and rear, both brake systems flushed and bled
- New rear main seal
- New spark plugs
- New air filter
- New fuel filter
- New clutch cable
- New crankcase breather hose
- Valve clearances checked and adjusted. Intake clearances .15 to .18 mm (spec range is .15 to .20mm), exhaust clearances .28 to .30 mm (spec range is .25 to .30 mm).
- Steering head bearings adjusted
- Clutch splines lubed
- Transmission input and output splines lubed
- Driveshaft splines lubed front and rear
- Final drive input splines lubed
- All clutch release linkage parts cleaned and lubed.
- Recent new brake pads front and rear
- Recent new battery
- Clutch friction disc thickness is very good at 5.0 mm (4.5 mm is wear limit)
- Gear position indicator is intermittant

I've been riding for 44 years, and years ago I'd owned/ridden a K75S for over 72,000 miles. I bought this RT in December 2019 (it was a one owner bike until then) due to its great condition with the intent of using for my 116 mile daily work commute. Unfortunately for me, the clutch lever effort of these classic K series bikes is just a bit too stiff for the tendonitis in my old man left forearm to tolerate (a 2 to 3 finger effort for the K vs the feather-like 1 to 2 finger effort that my forearm can handle on my R1200GS and DR650). The new clutch cable and cleaning/lubrication all of the clutch release linkage points reduced the effort somewhat, but it's still just too much for me. My disappointment in not being able to ride this fine bike like I'd planned is your gain.

Sorry for the four disoriented photos. I gave up after a few attempts to get all of them correct.
