K75 in Cyprus

Hello

Last week picked up from the port  BMW K75, sipped overseas from Latvija.

New to bricks.



Cannot find correct spare parts catalogue, as confused with model.
Running vin check, it says K75 85 (0562, 0571) 10/1989
But catalogue gives different models.
Need to find part number of my windshield, as it is broken and should be replaced.

Welcome!

As has already been indicated, your moto has mixed parts. The fairing is from a K100RS. The round headlight might be from a K75C or it might be custom. The handlebar has been mounted on a riser instead of using the stock mounts. The seat is a low-seat model. The side cases are late models so they have the largest capacity of all cases that were offered. The fuel tank has custom paint striping.

You should probably order engine, brake, and electrical parts based on the 1988 date. Take the screws off the fuel tank cover assembly, remove it, empty the fuel tank and inspect the tank's interior for sludge.

Thanks for posting photos. Take one of the handlebar setup from behind it with good lighting so we can see what type of dash pad it has.

stripped for inspection and cleaning.
frame did outside, engine is inside my cave.



Bike was sitting without move for 15 years.

Cool, this looks like an interesting project. Welcome to Motobrick and keep putting up pictures!

PS It's best not to let the swingarm hang down like that, you'll tear the rubber boot (assuming it's any good after sitting for 15 years).

Nice looking bike.  A former member here "Duck" built a K75RS with, I think, a turbo.  It was a really good looking bike.  I have an RS fairing here that I would like to put on my K75RT.  Your photos are giving me the itch to do it. 

Have you put your frame number into the system at RealOem?  That is a good place to find the correct parts for the engine and drive train.  Your fairing is based on a K100RS.  Parts for those didn't change much over the years.

I like the round headlight.  Whoever put that together did a nice job of fitting it.  I hope you can post a bunch of photos showing how it was built.  As far as the windscreen, it looks like it is a custom.  There are some aftermarket screens that might be able to work with a bit of rework.  Aeroflow looks pretty close to what you have.
