F650 Dakar added to stable. . . WWIT?
« on: January 31, 2020, 11:31:28 PM »
Well looking at doing some off road stuff, and longer less pavement-y rides, I decided to spring for an Enduro bike that was going for a price I couldn't pass up on.

What
Was
I
Thinking?

I must learn to dissent with myself.

Photos coming once I pick up the new addition to the family. . .

Chain Drive.

Two swing arms at the back.

Spokes.

Don't feel bad.  My poor k has taken a back seat to my Russian contraption, and that's taken a back seat to my pedal bikes.  But the K still is special.

LOL  :laughing1: I wish that was my wife's perspective!  She's quite confident it did happen even though the bike remains at the pawnshop where it has been languishing since the summer while the price declined to my entry point that is now low enough that I'd have  bought the bike in order to disassemble it and figure out how it works.

It seems that I'm better at breaking things than fixing them.

Anyway, I thought that the dissenter's paradise eschewed all rules, where things like photos were luxuries or indulgences, spared for photoshopping opportunities of people whose politics you objected to.

Here's a nice friendly home for your pictures when you get them:

Very interested to hear your impressions, I've admired that bike from afar.

I'm already looking for an F- forum.

This bike is actually bigger than Rocinante of the splendid splines.

Here you can sort of see them crammed side by each in my garage which now has in every respect no room for anything else:
