Flush with success installing heated grips on my 1985 K100RS, I jumped in and began fitting the Eastern Beaver headlight relay kit too. At the end of the day, I had to admit failure. I can't figure out how to extract the bulb's connector! First off, it's damn near impossible to reach it due to the fairing bracket. Even when you get a few fingers on the ass-end of the connector, it refuses to budge! The rubber cover seems to be vulcanized to the assembly. I've never encounted anything remotely as difficult to extract. Is there some secret trick? A special chant or prayer? I'm afraid if I get any more forceful, something expensive is gonna break.
A related question: the 1985 K100RS has an H4 bulb. A single bulb. The Eastern Beaver kit has two connectors, one of which has female-type connection and the other is male. There is not any obvious way to connect both to the single H4 bulb, so what's one to do? Is this kit designed for multi-model use (i.e. headlights with two elements) on bikes other than 1985 K100RS?
