13,100 miles on these tires...so far

Michelin front - PR4 GT radial  (reinforced) 120/70/18
Michelin rear - Road 5 radial 150/70/17
PSI = 40 front, 42 rear

No cupping in front, no squaring off in rear - see pics. They still handle great. Since taking these pics, I've put a couple hundurd more miles on them.
I've never gotten this many miles from M/C tires before.
Because of the wear, I won't run them too far from home. It is interesting (to me anyway) to see how many more miles I can reasonably get from them.

That is impressive on a heavy LT. I've recently got over 10k on Avon roadraiders (last year) on a 75s and may have got a couple more k but fear of wet roads made me put fresh ones on. 6 to 7k is all I get out of them on the RT or LT.

that rear looks pretty squared off to me.

common complaint with the road 5 is that there is no center groove, so there is no way to tell how much rubber is left.  one mile it looks like yours, the next mile the center is corded.  not good.

"that rear looks pretty squared off to me." Well, it doesn't FEEL squared off. This isn't my first set of motorcycle tires. I know when a squared off tire gives a very sudden transition from straight on to turning which can be disconcerting. You are right about it being hard to tell wear. I am relying on the wear indicators as a guide. If I start to see cord, I will change them out. Not worried about wet handling living in the desert. These tires have never gotten wet.

Caveman, try the Michelins. They are awesome. But don't take my word for it, read the reviews on Revzilla.com

I am amazed at how many miles some get out of tires. With in the last three years I've put pairs of Michelins PR4's  on a 650 Strom, BMW R1100RT, and  a Honda ST 1300, all were kaput at between 6500 ( ST Rear) and 11000 ( Strom Front). While they are great to mount and balance, easy to de-mount too, the volume of the front singing as they get older is annoying to me. Great tire I admit, tremendous feel, good in driving rains, and a bit more expensive than the Bridgestone's that usually buy and get the same mileage.

problem with the road5's is that are are no treadwear indicators in the center.  the cord is not a treadwear indicator...   your bike, your life. :)

6k, 3 summers,  is all I get on PR4s. Solo, no luggage on an 02 R1150RT.

The front sides wear down to almost no tread, (less on the left side), the rear center strip is dangerously thin with nary an exposed thread.

When Johnny talks about YEEE HAAWWW miles, that's what I do.

The K75... I am running bias ply Pirelli scorpions. I cannot yee haww ride the k75.
The Pirellis are sticky, but wearing fast for a novice rider(my son). Haven't taken the chance of mixed brand radial on the K75.

But at 45 degrees today. I may be taking a local salty road ride...

That's amazing mileage I must say. The Yeehaw factor clearly dials down my duration. T30 Battlax and oddball sizing to get radials to fit, really took my 75s to a new level.

Cracked 50 in the SW Chee today.  Charged a few hollows with a wide grin.
