About me, started riding BMW’s (boxers) in ‘08 after being a Honda guy for 20 years. While looking for a Winter project bike and I ran across a 1991 K75 w/on Craigslist that runs but needs some luvin’ to get it back to factory fresh. A friend has one and spoke highly of them and he turned me on to MOTOBRICK for more info on the K-bikes. Looking forward to wrenching on some different machinery.

Welcome!

You'll get lots of info here, some of it excellent.   :welcome

First order of business: Lube Your Splines!

I've had my K75 for 23 years, still have an abiding affection for it and nothing newer has really grabbed my interest. I rode a buddy's Gixxer (GSXR 750) and all I managed to do was scare the bejesus out of myself. Second gear and 110 MPH would result in my premature death.

Ditto, only I've had mine 33 years.  Thought the K1 I had for a while was going to spoil me but it was actually a relief to get back on my 75.  I have strayed from K75 allegiance with my Ural, but that is more from my aversion to automobiles.  Between the 2 bikes I rarely drive the van or car.
