Next question !!!!
« on: November 09, 2011, 12:55:24 PM »
Sorry guys another question which I'm left with having found both my memory and my photo collection lacking.

Can anyone describe or does anyone have a photo of the plug wire lay up in the K1100 - either my memory is decieving me or one of the plug wires goes the "wrong way round" to fit. I may of course be thinking of my old 100 whihc had some mods on the plug wires by a previous owner.

Thanks in advance for the help

#2 goes past the plug and loops back.
Once I had a Collie pup. Dug a hole and covered him up. Now I sit there by the hour. Waiting for a Collie-flower.

Brilliant, thanks guys, plugs connected! Got a question about the moronic unit though:
On the frame of my unit there is a male spade connector which I'm assuming is to ground the frame of the motoronic unit to the battery/frame ground. Does anyone else have this or is it an "after market" addition ?

Thanks Dr Duck at the last count I have 37 unidentified wires on this bike all ending up around the relay box trying to wok out where they are running is very difficult so I'm trying to get back to what is stock and what is not. Is the earth strap to the tank stock too?

FWIW my brick does have a strap to the tank. Left hand side a little forward of centre, if I recall. Been a few days since I've had the plastic off.

Hmmm that didn't work as planned!
Is the female spade connector for the motronic frame  part of the loom or a seperate lead, I can't find it for the life of me

It should be a black female blade connector on a skinny brown wire.

I wouldn't worry too much about it.  The main Moronic wiring harness connector is what grounds the circuitry.  Mine was off for several months and it never impacted operation of the bike.
