REDUCED!!DMG Sidecar Mount K75 Unused
« on: September 15, 2019, 03:00:08 AM »
I swapped for these lovely parts earlier this year from El Kabong here.  Retail is $795 and from a welding perspective I can see why they charge what they do.  Very precise and complex fixture fabricated beauties.  Powder coated. I can't bring myself to commit my 75S to tug duty and my current K1100RS is well suited for the task..Anyway my RS parts list is a gulper! Need cash!

On the DMG site, they get $895 + and don't discount  here's the link and text

DMC-MS-BMW-K75   Complete (bike side) motorcycle to sidecar mounting kit for BMW's K75. Handcrafted in the USA!   $895.00

https://www.dmcsidecars.com/sidecar_mounts/mounts-for-bmw/

These parts are new dusty, unused, unmounted.  Includes hardware.

$400 + shipping 6/9/21

Do you know where on the K75 these attach?  I looked at their site and don't see any info in this regard.  Could you possibly hold  or set them roughly in place on your K75 and snap some pics to give me some idea?  Thanks.

I’m at work but on my home pc I do.  I may be able to find the picks here on motobrick too tear is on shock tower top mount bottom on foot peg mount top is hard to describe.  VERY impressive jig fixture build component... fabrication skills way above my pay grade.  I’ll be in touch later.

The brackets in the second picture do not seem to match the brackets in the other pictures.  For example, The first picture looks like the bottom mount in the second picture with its right end being the top, however there is no triangular gusset at the bottom.  Also, the bracket being held at the rear by the ABS unit does not seem to match either bracket.  Can you clarify which bracket is which.  Are these photos of your brackets for sale and your bike or some literature they supplied with the brackets?  Have you matched these brackets up to your K75s?  Thanks, just trying to clarify.

A complete set of hardware, new is included...I just threw up all the pics I had that were relevant.  Some are off the DMG literature. I'm sure their toolling/methods have evolved and their parts too.  I don't have time to study this now...working, will carefully reply later.  Im just forwarding the sealed bag of hardware I was supplied.

cheers.

It would be interesting to know if the K75 & K100 sidecar mounts from DMC are the same.

They're different enough to be offered in separate kits but further inquiry could determine how different. https://www.dmcsidecars.com/sidecar_mounts/mounts-for-bmw/
