How to unstuck a stuck fuel injectors

Any suggsstions? I have a K75 project bike that sat for who knows how long. I pulled the injectors to test them with current across the electrical connectors and hear no "click". I have tried soaking  them in vinegar for a couple days, and even tried soaking them in hot vinegar thinking that might loosen them up. Before I throw them away I just wanted to ask if anyone here had any suggestions on what else to try to free up the stuck injectors.

Try soaking for 15 min I lacquer thinners I have my own cleaner tester and used to use injector cleaner. I was talking to the guy at the place where I get "O" rings and injectors parts. He asked me what I was using to clean them and when I said injector cleaner he said it's too dear and that they use lacquer thinners. It might work better if you remove the filter screens, this will allow the cleaner to get right in. A brief application of a 9v battery on and off helps but unless you want a fireball no flames and no sparks.  A mate gave me a set of deemed unsalvageable injectors which had been soaked in injector cleaner to no avail, lacquer thinners cleaned them up.

Thanks, I have read good things about him, but I am worried that these injectors would be DOA at Mr. injector. Maybe I should call him and see what he would charge if he can't get them to work.

Okay I tried one , soaked it for about 20 minutes, tried a 9 volt and I just got no click. Will try again later and i will try soaking a different one.

Well I looked at the top of the injector and could not figure how to do that, help please?

Agree, I guess was going to ask if he looked at them before starting and said "Gee these are real junk, I can't help." that I would not have to pay return shipping. Maybe I will send him one and see what happens. I guess his report can tell me if it is junk and then I should not brother sending him the other two.

They are removed by screwing in a self taping screw of the appropriate diameter, then pull out the screen with a pair of vice grips or pliers. You can clamp the injector in a vice fitted with soft jaws if needed. You will need to get new replacement screens. If you have access to a sonic jewellery cleaner this can help, do not use thinners in it, but you can use vinegar.

or...for only about $25 per injector, you can send them to a professional like RC to have them refreshed.  that includes the cleaning, testing, filters, orings, etc.   these things rarely go bad.  they just get clogged/jammed up inside.  professional tools and processes can get them working again.   no at home hack work.  no guess work about if they are working optimally.  turn around time is just a few days.

Since I'm not racing my bikes in international GP's, when the latest showed up in the garage with two missing injectors and the other two DOA I decided to try the $10 injectors you can find on eBay.  What the hell, all the damn things are is a friggin' coil, a spring and a needle valve. 

Bike fired up immediately with them, and with fresh fuel and a bit of throttle balancing idles and runs beautifully.

Well I took the screens off all of them and the injectors  look very rusty inside. I let them all soak for 25 minutes, and I tired all with 9 volts and still no click!! I would be happy to send them to a injector cleaner but I think they might be DOA. This bike might have sat for 10 years and it was not running when I got it. The tank had water and gas in it and looked like hell until I clean it. Just to happy to be proven wrong I think I will send one off to see it they are truly DOA.

Fill them with a good quality penetrant (not WD40) immerse the tips in the same penetrant and let them soak for a week or two. Occasionally give them a short zap with the 9v battery. A sonic jewellery would help.

When I send the ’85’s injectors off to Mr. Injector, he returned them with a note that he could not git one of them to spray to his satisfaction and also sent 4 refurbished injectors all for the same price as if only the originals were cleaned cleaned.

Hard to beat the $40 for 4, only one set left!

Good to know, I have not had the time to call him about mine. So he sent you back other refurbished ones when yours did not work right?
