Nice!  it is on my "bucket list" to someday occupy hwy 1 in a similar fashion.  It's just so darn far away!

Just my .02 but that's a horrible time to ride Highway 1.  The number of rental cars and RVs doing 20mph is crazy.

The best time to do it is mid-week when school is in session. October though April.  That way you pretty much have the road all to yourself.
