i recently bought the red 88 k75s with 24k miles that was missing some fairing pieces and fasteners. i finally got the fairing squared away and a new tire on front and made a half-tank checkout run.
The handlebars had been swapped out by some previous owner to the "C" bars, and the longer i rode the more i disliked the bar angle with respect to my arms and wrists. It didn't feel right and caused a pressure point on the outer edge of my palms. To get my hand square on the grips would require pulling my elbows in touching my body and cocking my wrists out.
i guess i'm just used to the "S" bars where the feeling there is mainly on the inner edge of the palms between the thumb pad and the index and middle fingers, and no elbow contortions are necessary--it just has a natural feel that the grips are right where they should be for a comfortable ride.
Anybody else noticed that sort of pressure thing, and if so what did you do to remedy the situation? i'm tempted to get a big cheater bar piece of pipe and bend those suckers...
