Oil Filter Wrenches

The muffler clamp got it loose. Didn't work putting it on.

Been there, done that!
I’ve better luck drilling three screws through that black one into the filter to give it some bite.
I’ve also had to lay the beast over and remove the oil pan to drill out a filter (installed by someone else)
That was on my very first oil change on the ’85 RT.

I hope there is a special place in Hell, probably right next to where the guys who use NGK plug wires go, for the A-holes who use a filter wrench to torque the damn filter down on a dry gasket AFTER they wiped the oil from the sealing surface. 

My first year as a marine mechanic I did about 100 oil changes on engines that had the filters torqued by the previous guy.
