Belly Pan Blues?

Alright friends, I have yet another question. Really, I just need confirmation that I understand what I’m looking at. In the first of two images below you can see the bottom of the left side of the engine and what I’m guessing remains of the bushing/mounts for the belly pan.

The second image is a closer shot of where I assume the front bushing used to be. I am also assuming I’m looking at a bolt that was sheered off by a previous owner... It’s just subtle enough that, before I start drilling that bugger out, I’m just hoping for some confirmation that my assumptions listed above are correct.

I’m also having trouble matching these parts against what I see on the 2v RS belly pan fiche, which is making me extra cautious before taking any action.

I think what you have there is a washer and screw shank seized together and the screw shank seized into the sump block's hole. The first thing I'd try is heating the washer with a heat gun, spraying on the penentrant then after a few minutes, trying  to pry the washer from the screw. After that is done, you could heat the screw shank, spray on the penetrant around the screw, knock the shank with a hammer then, if there is enough shank, patiently try to unscrew it. Repeat.

Drilling it out will take a couple of reverse drill bits, accuracy, patience, more penetrant or light oil to cool the bit while it's drilling and maybe inserting a helicoil.

As Laitch instructs, and if there's enough shank showing after the washer is removed, you could cut a slot and use the penetrant oil and heat. With a little luck and steady pressure, it might just let loose easily. If it fails, you can still drill it out and use an extractor.

Follow up question:
In the parts fiche below I’ve highlighted where those rubber bushings are supposed to mount, but the fiche makes no mention of them. I can’t imagine BMW would pass up an opportunity to charge some extraordinary amount to replace said part. What am I missing?

I suggest you not get ahead of yourself. Deal with that mounting screw first, if that mount will be needed. Everything else is a distraction.

I found the attached diagram in the '90–'92 K100RS section of the Max BMW fiche. If that is the type of holder on your moto, the screw indicated in the diagram is NA on the parts list but is available at a good hardware store.

Here's a holder from the '84–'89 K100RS section. I don't have either of those tinkertoy assemblies on my moto so I'm out of my depth regarding which is appropriate on yours. jakgeiger, filmcamera or some other member should chime in here.

The part you are looking at removing is one of those breakaway rubber mounts BMW likes to use to maximize their profitability from our minor mishaps.  It appears the rubber part has broken off and just left the threaded part that is installed in the sump. 

I would suggest soaking with a good penetrating oil like Liquid Wrench(NOT WD-40) for a couple days, then using heat and vise grips to loosen it.  The good news is that the rubber prevents the part from being torqued excessively.  The Belly Pan on my K100RS just had a long screw with an aluminum spacer there.  No need for the $40+ BMW part.
