Fan Replacement
« on: March 23, 2019, 08:04:19 PM »
As part of my 75K mile refurbishment I decided to replace the fan with one I purchased about a year ago from tills.de.  I was tempted just to leave the original in as it was working and there was no reason to replace it other than age and reputation.

When I removed the OEM Bosch it spun and looked OK but it does have a squeak which I take as worn bushing.  Possibly a potential failure?

The tills.de Spal fan comes attached to an aluminum bracket, has the proper connector and includes a new rubber grommet and attachment fasteners.  A quality setup.

So what does that "17" plastic marker on the radiator signify?

Don't really know. QC inspector?  I've got 3 radiators between my 2 bikes and I only seem to remember 1 having one of those plastic ID tags. Don't remember if it was the 3 core or one of the 2 core radiators.
