Cool weather riding

The temperatures here in NY are starting to drop. Why do I feel
that this, K75 rides better in colder temperatures? Is it me
or is it the motorcycle? Anybody else feels the same? Are these
cold weather motorcycles?

cooler air temp = air that is more dense = more oxygen in that air = bigger bang with the same amount of fuel

Cooler weather as noted above is a denser charge, and the cooling system isn't stressed. Throttle always feels a little crisper, but that just might be the pleasurable ride experience without being slow-roasted like in summer. Great to hear you're out rolling the brick.

Just for the sake of it:

I do not think that ICEs run leaner in winter than summer. There is a reason for the MAF sensor: to be able to adjust the fuel according to the amount of air mass. It can be that with every intake stroke, more air mass goes into the cylinder, thus more bang per stroke because both air and fuel have increased.

although....K75's do not have Mass flow sensors (MAF).  they have a basic air flow sensor.  there is no "mass" measurement, it is a simple flapper door that moves with the velocity of the air entering the intake.  later versions of the bosch ECU's used a mass flow sensor.

I may be wrong, but isn't there a temperature sensor in the throat of the Jetronic that is used to calculate air density?

I was just out in 57 degree temp and the bike, engine, tranny was super smooth.
I have a heat temperature gun and I’ve notice a 10 degree difference when riding
in 57 degrees as a pose to 80degree +,
Where would be the best place on the engine to monitor heat levels.

By the way, we have some heavy hitters on this forum!

first hard freeze of the season... i like riding mid 30s to mid 60s... rolling out... hope my gps works... caints getts back to the barn without it... unless its clear and jaycar martin can ping me the southern cross...
