Will start sometimes, sometimes it wont K75
« on: September 15, 2018, 03:29:12 PM »
Hey I've been searching non start k75 posts for a long while now, and i've found various solutions which have taken me nowhere. Maybe someone here has had the same electrical failure?

Ive been having this problem for a while now, it just got worse. It would always crank but not start, so I would take my key out and turn ignition on again and keep trying like this, until maybe at the 3rd time it started at the first crank. Fuel pump is always running and I have spark.
Its weird because after time instead of being 3 times turning the ignition off and taking the key out, it became almost like 15 times i had to do it for it to start. I know its not a mechanical failure because of for example, today I cranked it over 30 times until it ran, then i moved it forward jus a little bit and let off the clutch in neutral and it just turned off completely. Im really confused on which electronic it could be, please i hope someone knows more about this,

Cheers!

If you've found various solutions for this problem, please tell us which solutions you've tried that took you nowhere so we all don't waste our precious time visiting nowhere together.

Also, tell us how long you've had the moto, how many miles are on the odometer, how many miles you have ridden it, whether the fuel tank is clean, how old the fuel filter is, and if you like rainbows, sunsets or both.

I've tried replacing the fuel filter, the sparkplugs, fuel pump, cleaned connectors from ignition switch, gas tank, all fuses checked, no side stand switch
the odometer is disconected since it broke but it had 50k miles, i have ridden it probably 1k miles, the fuel tank is clean, the old filter is less than 3 months old.

What most cafe/scrambler modifiers don't know is that the rear frame loop they hack off as the very first part of the "customizing" they do has an effect on the electromagnetic field of the bike that affects the operation of the relays in the relay box under the tank.  It's the cause of most of the whack we have to deal with here relating to cafe racers builds.
