Trigger sensor clearance question

I checked mine and I only have .006 in. Clymer specs it at .014 - .025. So I’m thinking I need the .012 shim, BMW 34 51 1 458 408. Am I missing something here There doesn’t seem to be any gnashing or grinding and this is a
