light switch functions
« on: June 10, 2018, 08:33:53 AM »
Hi, can anyone tell me what this switch is for on my ex Australian Police K1100R/T-P?
It doesn't seem to do anything.
Also, is there a way of turning on the parking lights without the headlight?
The parkers come on automatically with the ignition, as does the headlight, but I can't find a way of turning then on independently, with the ignition off.
thanks

It's the tombstone illuminator switch. You need to be near a tombstone to get its benefits.

In the US the K1100 has a separate position on the key switch for the parking light. When the key is turned to that, it can be withdrawn. An Ozian police bike might be configured differently. Draw as good an image of it as you did for the tombstone illuminator and maybe somebody here will have an answer.

Considering it's ex-police, it might be for emergency lights that have been disconnected. Photos work better for explanation of stuff like this. Avoid posting the same question in two different places, also.
