The shop that I took it to is not BMW shop, they specialize in European bikes, and the tech is slightly older than I am. I've used them before on my C bike and my LT. Being quoted almost $900 to get the bike running with a new fuel pump. (on the key on you don't hear the pump pressurizing the system) So my issue is the $450 for the new pump. The tech is suggesting new injectors and replacing all of the fuel lines (I agree with this).
Now to answer the ?
@ TheMightyGryphon the battery is good and strong, when I opened the cap to the tank it smelled like varnish (have no idea how long the fuel sat in the tank), the bike cranks all the lights work. The bike was clean and the tires were new 10 years ago, the rubber nibs are still on the side walls of the bike.
Back story on the bike:
I got this bike from some friends that own a tow company, the relocated the bike from a couple that I know that purchased a house on a estate sale. The new owners contacted the previous owner of the house and it took 3 months to get a response from him (since he left a mint 87 MC SS in the garage with the K75s. The previous owner had a transporter come and pick up the MC and left the signed title for the K75s.
It appears that the only time this bike was outside was when the tow company had it before giving it to me. Here's a list of the things that need to be replaced according to the tech
