Spacing out center stand mounting points.

Ive always thought that my K1100LT centerstand does not raise the bike high enough when in use,certainly not as high as any other motorcycle ive owned (50+),and depending on the evenness of the ground I park on sometimes both wheels are touching the ground.
So when ive got the stands removed when replacing the clutch  ive concluded the most practical way to solve this problem is to fit thicker spacers & longer mounting bolts between the stand and the transmission than the ones already in place,obviously I will have to modify the collector box mounting bracket to accommodate the difference.
So,does anyone else here think that the K1100LT centerstand does not raise the bike high enough,and what if any modifications have you tried to solve this problem?

On the 1100's the center stand mount should already have some spacers. Depending on the bike, RS or LT, will determine if it has spacers or not.

On the LT the spacers are mounted between the stand mount and the transmission case, resulting in the bike rising up a tad bit higher for the taller profile LT tire.

It's possible a previous owner removed them? Are you running a stock tire size? Personally I am running a lower profile tire and removed the spacers so it is easier for me to put the bike on the center stand.

If you look at the parts fich's, you will see that the spacer is listed for the LT and mount bolts are a 10mm x 50mm bolt, the RS does not list the spacer and uses a 10mm x 40mm bolt.
The fiche doesn't list details about the dimensions other than for a 10mm bolt, and it is listed as a "washer", yet the bikes that use them(for center stand) also have 10mm longer bolts.....

As I said in my original post the bike does already have the spacers between the stand and the transmission,and has the stock tyres (140/80/17 rear and 110/80/18 front.) ,but still does not raise up high enough when put on the centrestand

Your original post does not indicate the thickness of the spacers. Whether they are of the stock thickness as Scott_ has presented is still unknown.

I've noticed that my K has less ground clearance when on the center stand than other bikes. I've struggled with controlling my envy. I use a platform under the oil sump when I lubricate the input splines. My bike is a K75 so it might not be special enough to be considered as suitable for this discussion; nonetheless, keyboard practice in a real-life scenario is cognitive therapy for me.

The spacers are about 5mm in thickness,but they could really do with being at least 20mm to give the bike sufficient height when placed on the centrestand.

With the geometry of the center stand, unless you are a gym rat, I am pretty sure that extra 15mm will get pretty old pretty quick.

Are your stand pivot bushings in good nick?  Are the hole bosses for the bushings round and not ovaled out?  this could cause your stand to possibly pivot "forward" too far on extension....

Spacers might come in handy with mine eventually,  C-stand seems to be grinding down...

Chaos build up the flat spots with weld and them grind down until they are round. Alternatively weld on some flat strap.

gone-ape  yes the bushings and stand seem fine.
