Crankcase cover stuck

Ok I tried searching but to no avail.... Removed the 10 bolts holding the crankcase cover and she ain't letting go  :dunno2:
Hitting the cover with a rubber mallet I thought would do the trick but no.... Suggestions? HELP!!

OK the valve cover came off pretty easy, 6-10 mallet whacks.  Crankcase cover came off after 50 ish whacks, they weren't that light either as frustration ensued lol.


Do I have to remove the Halls effect thing?  I am looking to address a leaking timing cover leak.

Well... I do have a reference but it jumps around the book a bit.  During the pre reading I was thinking "I hope that step is not necessary" perhaps my age and the desire to not have to deal with those steps is in more control than logic - yikes!
Anyway it was late and poor judgement has led me to the point of trying to take off the timing cover with the Halls sensor attached.  Train Wreck! Well I was only using human power and not too much so I am hoping I didn't dammage anything. I really love my 1100 and so I thought it would be good to get personal with it as I hope to have it for some time.

You gotta take off the Hall Sensors.  The "cup" under them won't let the timing chain cover off.  Getting violent with the cover when the sensors are in place will make you very sorry.  DAMHIK.
