This was my dad's bike, he passed away a little over a year ago, and we would really like someone who is as enthusiastic about the older BMW bricks as he was to have this to restore and/or use for parts. It has 102K miles so it's just broken in . It's been to Key West, FL and north of Vancouver, BC.
Things I know
Good:
- Good mechanical condition, my dad was a maintenance superintendent and took good care of his stuff
- never crashed
- always garaged
- 1 owner bike
- decent tire tread though I think they are old enough they should be replaced
- has all the luggage, bag inserts, radio, keys, etc
- Corbin seat, but needs to be recovered
Bad:
- fuel pump is dead, I think. I know he fixed it a few times, but never replaced it
- dead battery
- does not start due to bad fuel pump and dead battery
- last run in like 2012 or 13
- clear coat is not in good shape - see pics
- seat needs to be recovered - see pics
- crack in speedometer lens - see pics
