well crap! Fixed!
« on: February 18, 2018, 12:33:53 PM »
Pulled the beast out of it's 2 month hibernation today and found this!  Not really surprised, I think these were a recall item way back when and it's been living on borrowed time.  Thinking of replacing it with one of those universal little circular ones on Amazon and ebay for $5-$7.  Any thoughts?  On the bright side the brake still works, I'll plug the line for now and flush it when I get a new reservoir.

Oh yeah, anyone that still has this style, well, you figure it out

Thanks Martin, already ordered one probably cheaper than shipping from down under.  My bike continues to become less and less BMW......

I've been thinking about ordering some Chang Jiang badges. I've also altered my Bricks profile to K75s Hybrid. I had a scary moment the other day the Brick veered to the left. I then realised I had just gone past a Chinese restaurant.  :hehehe

Is that what I have to look forward to?  A crash into a Chinese restaurant on my way to hell for not using BMW plug wires?

More than likely but at least you will go well fed. Get a double order of #46 a #12 and some fried rice.

If you do get a nylon replacement reservoir, consider locating it high up under the right battery cover, the way later K's were shipped.  This will keep the part out of the sunlight which was the cause of the demise of your original part.

Probably should move it up under the sidecover, but this was so much easier and I can keep an eye on it.  Maybe someday if I replace the line to the slave.   $6 free shipping.

You need a slice of pineapple and a cherry in the reservoir...

Your local pie shop might have them decorated with pythons and jellyfish.

Work coughed up 4 éclairs as a bonus on Wednesday, unfortunately not my preferred Beefy's. Fondant on top not real chocolate. If I need pythons a mate has a few to  spare in his shed and another in the roof of the house, he reckons it keeps the possums away. And jellyfish should come in better flavours, they're pretty tasteless. Storms and rain for the next two days, top of 29C. I am going to come down with cabin fever. I need more Bricks to play with, but I don't want to become an addict!!
