Opening a locked K100 gas cap

Is there any easy way to open a locked K100 gas cap without the key? I'm sure I could pop it with a large enough flat bladed screwdriver but I'd rather not. Or I can try to pick the lock. A locksmith was unsuccessful in making a key for it. :dunno2:
