Shinny wheels

Practically every pic I see of K and R bikes on these forums have nice, bright, shinny wheels.  What do you use to get them that way?  Mine are the dull aluminum look.

greetings...

the only thing that getts reguarly sprayed on my wheels is...

front = suspension fluid

rear = final drive oil...

ride dangerously...

and occasionnally dot 3 on both...

yeeehaaa...

johnny, don't forget shock oil on the rear.  a spinning wheel cares not if it be shinny

Maybe they're all Photoshopped.  :yes

Anyway, here's a cautionary tale. You can always clean them with degreaser on a rag, or have them painted.

Painting definitely not an option.  I'm looking for an easy to use cleaner--prolly sumting strong enough to eat the grime off the wheels but not eat my hands.  Cleaning is one thing--maybe a low psi pressure washer? Polishing is a chore for another day or month.  I have three cycles with ugly aluminum rims.

Polish and then clear coat with two pack clear.

After a thorough cleaning with brake dust cleaner spray, scrubbing with a paint brush, and rinsing, I conclude that the aluminum rims on K and R bikes are not meant to be "shinny."  Yes, I tried some Brasso polish but it did not bring a shinny look so I'll just live with what I've got.
