1995 K 75 won't make a sound
« on: August 18, 2017, 08:27:29 PM »
good evening to all,
I have a 1995 K75S that I backed out of the garage, turned key, lights come on, gear indicator in dash has no display of which gear it is in, pushed starter button, nothing! no sound at all. Never had a problem with this bike not starting. Only thing different is I just installed belly pan.what could it be? Keep bike on tender, lights come on so I am assuming battery to be good. It is as if kill switch is on.

thanks a lot. I pulled the tool tray, which has the motronic attached to it, wiggled connector around, put it back in and she cranks. I guess I ought to unplug it, clean it as suggested. I have never had a problem before, I guess the bike must have found out that i am gonna replace it with a GS. I am too tall for that great little bike.

I pulled the tool tray, which has the motronic . . . I guess the bike must have found out that i am gonna replace it with a GS.
Not that it matters if you've sold it but your K75 has an L-Jetronic, not a Motronic. Is your replacement R1200GS part of the 2012–2017 recall batch with the problem forks or is it one where that problem was corrected?

you are right, it does not matter a bit. L-Jetronic, Motronic.....I hated to sell the bike, so smooth, bike was just too small for 6 foot 4 rider. Bought a 2006 R1200GS, no problem forks. Matter of fact the Gent that I got the GS from bought my K bike.

He'll probably be riding that K-Bike long after the GS has been parted out.
