WTB or WTT for K75 low seat conversion

I just bought a nice 1992 K75RT but am finding that at 5'7" I need to have the low seat installed to make this bike fit the way I want it to. Anybody out there have the parts needed for sale? Or anyone with a low seat looking to trade for the high seat setup?

There are a couple of things you can do to alleviate the height problem. You can drop the forks through the trees up to 1/2", buy boots with the thickest soles you can find. Buy some shoe lifts, however if you go for both the boots and the lifts, buy the lifts first. You will need to try the lifts in the boots to make sure there is enough room. There is a shorter rear shock available, but it creates clearance problems. It will require you to modify the centre stand. Without modifying the stand you probably wont be able to get it onto the stand. I'm the same height as you and I can flat foot easily with boots and lifts and front fork drop. However I recently modified my seat reshaped and new foamed and lowered it and can now flat foot easily with just work boots and the front forks dropped 3/8". A good experienced upholsterer should be able to help you. I had a spare seat and under advice from JO and a few sites I did it myself and I am extremely happy with the outcome.

I have a Corbin Canyon dual sport saddle with the backrest for passenger in excellent shape.
Reasonable offers will be considered. PM me for pics.

Thanks for the advice! I'll look into that. I'm still looking for an OEM low seat with all the hardware. I'm willing to pay cash or trade my high seat setup. thx

Would be interested in a trade of my low seat.
What color is your bike?
Mine is black, and I recovered the low seat with grey leather. It looks great.
Send me your email address and we can exchange pictures.
