By way of explanation it was the last thing I got to after several joyful hours in therapy and had not yet tried to install it.
Son's science experience saw me back down there and realised faux pax. Needless to say, no further progress on working model of mangonel.
Easily turned around. Managed 8 pieces in. Can be slid down.
There is some play due to the 6 mm or so the rubber mount provides underneath. Big nitril o-ring maybe. Got a box of the buggers cheap on ebay.
Which, perhaps by way of distraction and smoke screen...
What's the more useless thing we've bought on ebay?
Bought a tennis racquet shaped mosquito zapper (uses batteries to fry them mid air). All was good until son broke it. Thankfully, after removing the rest of the head, I now had a cattle prod for encouraging him to do what he was asked first time ... until fun police banned it with "stop electrocuting the kids!"
