What is this box for? And is the button pushed down when the seat is down? Im making a cafe seat for the bike and would like to know if I have to have this button pressed down when Im riding or if its supposed to just stay up all the time.

OEM alarm, you turn it on/off by a key switch at bottom/front/left corner of the relay box.
Button: if someone opens the seat when the alarm is armed......
