Bosch 3330 still useable?
« on: June 28, 2017, 09:38:13 PM »
Hey guys so im changing out the oil my bike came with and I searched the forum and google for an alternative and Bosch 3330 kept coming up. But most of these posts are old from 2011, 2013. I read on another forum that the 3330 was useable in Triumphs but has had minor changes in the recent years and is no longer useable in Triumphs. Do those changes affect the K bikes? Anyone currently using 3330 filters? Thanks.

I use the Carquest equivalent or an AC PF53.   NAPA also has an equivalent, just don't ask for the Bosch number.  Go by the bike BMW K100 or match for a PF 53.

Be wary of oil filters with paper labels.  These labels will soak off in the sump and potentially cause damage.

I bought a lifetime supply of Wix filters at a good price and think that they work excellently.

I use the Bosh 72161's, and peel the label off before I spin it on.

I've definitely used 3330's and they fit just fine. My bike came with like 8 of them

Can add Quaker State QS3614 to RBM's list. Fits a 76mm, 14-flat cup wrench.
