On the K75S if you don't have the "C" clips fitted on the pins on the back of the tank, the tank can jump up releasing the side covers. I used to follow a mate who's side covers regularly made a bid for freedom. It took a lot of convincing on my part to get him to refit the clips. After refitting the side covers he never lost one.
