Emergency Flasher Switch Install
« on: April 15, 2016, 10:24:26 PM »
Using the Clymer manual as a guide, I successfully replaced my defective flasher switch with a new one today.  It was a little tricky getting the plug threaded thru the triple tree area, but a calm mind helped me through this.  I used a string to serve as a routing guide for the wiring.  The plug was buried in some other wiring under the gas tank, so a partial removal of the tank was necessary.  On my K75 I moved the tank to the left side of the cycle.  I recall reading someone moved his to the right-hand side to work on wiring underneath.  I made sure my wiring colors matched on both sides of the connector.  Attaching a hot wire to the ground side would not be good.
