Rear brake lights LED bulb options/sizes/type?

Basically, what do I order on ebay? Will I almost certainly have a bulb-out warning light with a LED bulb?

I don't know.  I always get rid of the BMU as described in the motobrick link I posted above.  The BMU expects a 21W filament to test so my guess would be that it will light up the BMU indicator in the cluster if you install an LED unless the LED has been specifically designed to emulate a 21W filament bnulb..

Try running current through it both ways.

Um the EBAY link was for a 1156 single post bulb. Doesn't the brake light need 1157 dual post?

You might check to see if there is room to just ADD a socket and bulb to the OEM.
