greetings imoir...
swapping bars in search of optimal ergos is a good idea... if you score those c bars n if it dosent work out you can sell them for what you paid for them...
he is my experience with c bars on the bug... a k1100rs...
i had been riding the bug with oem rs bars... all was well butts i was looking for a higher bar with schlep down grips like the oem... kinda like the k75s bars but different... so i messed with barbacks... which moved the bars higher n closer... i didnt want closer... so i finally ended up with
rox risers... these are multiple directional... and i gotts them dialed in so 1st light to 1st dark 12+ hours in the saddle days have no adverse impact...
ok thats the bug... now the curd... a k1100rs...
when i scored the curd it had c bars... i rolled a 5000+ miler 2up right out of the box... it was killing me... i could not get the grips to schlep down like the oem... my wrists n hands never adapted... my supernatural motocontrol never adapted... it was a nightmare...
after that i put the oem stock rs bars on and i was back in the game...
here is the kicker... the bug is mostly a 2up mototourer... i needed the rise but needed to keep the grip angle... the curd is a 1up mile eater... i didnt need the rise but i needed to keep the rs grip angle... here is why...
2up i cant lean back n move around n stretch n stay fresh... it was the rise that put me in the right position to eliminate all neck n back n arm n wrist fatigue from being glued into the saddle all day...
1up i can lean back n move around n stay fresh... without the additional rise im still good... butts i still need that schlep down rs grip angle... without the oem grip angle i have diminished motocontrol carving n my wrists are not at the optimal angle...
stock k1100rs...

stock k1100rs bars with 2" rise only...

so there you go... 4 degrees seems like not much... butts at the end of the day it can matter... just gotts to tinker to get it dialed in... and when its dialed in... its 100% yeeeeeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaaaaaa...
