I watched a Youtube video recently from Chris from Affordable BMW service. He stated that K100's will develop tight valves but that he's never seen a K1100 do the same. He went on to say that you will sometimes find 1100's with loose valves but that doesn't hurt anything. He went so far as to say that if a tech wants to do a valve adjustment on the 1100, he's trying to pad the bill - it's unnecessary.
I'm a relative newbie. I bought my '93 1100rs last August. What has been the collective experiece among motobrickers? I don't want to do anything I don't have to, but I've dealt with replacing burnt valves on other bikes I've owned and I'd rather not go down that road again.
