I purchased this bike last spring, it ran good when I test-rode it ,aside from a bad battery. The bike had not been registered since 2008 . When I got the bike home I charged the battery enough to start it and took a spin to get gas. After filling up the it would not start. I let it sit at the gas station for an hour , came back and it started up. Here is where I could kick myself. I parked the bike with the intention of getting on it soon as it is a project bike ( going to make an industrial scrambler type thing) , anyway I am self-employed and took on a big job over the spring and summer and the bike has sat for over 6 months without fuel stableizer. Fast forward to yesterday, I installed a new battery, pumped out all the fuel, added fresh gas and some seafoam, no luck . I have been pricing fuel pump/ filter kits and remanufactured injectors at Beemer bonyard. I am willing to bite the bullet and drop the cash on improving the fuel system as the bike is in good shape (36k miles). Any thoughts on if I should start there ? Any other ideas on what to check? I will do the work myself with a bit a of help from mc mechanic buddy.
Thanks
